Finolid (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Full name and email address (account registration)
• Financial data you enter: income sources, fixed expenses, budget periods, transactions, and category limits
• Messages sent through our Contact Support form

Information collected automatically:

• App usage events (screens visited, features used) via Firebase Analytics
• Crash reports and error logs via Sentry
• Push notification tokens via OneSignal (only if you grant permission)
• Device type, OS version, and app version for diagnostic purposes

Information we do NOT collect:

• Your actual bank account numbers or financial institution credentials
• Payment card information
• Precise or approximate location (this string is required by iOS but Finolid does not actively collect your location)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your Finolid account
• Provide and improve the budgeting and transaction features
• Send you push notifications about your financial activity (only if you opt in)
• Diagnose crashes and fix bugs
• Understand how users interact with the app to improve the experience
• Respond to your support requests

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your financial data is stored on our secure servers. We use industry-standard security practices including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• JWT-based authentication with automatic token expiration
• Optional biometric authentication (Face ID / Touch ID) stored locally on your device — we never have access to your biometric data

4. Third-Party Services

Finolid uses the following third-party services to operate and improve the app. Each service has its own privacy policy linked below.

• Firebase (Google): Analytics and feature flags. Privacy policy
• Sentry: Crash reporting and error tracking. Privacy policy
• OneSignal: Push notifications. Privacy policy
• Branch: Deep linking. Privacy policy

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account through the app, your personal information is archived and removed from active systems within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your account and associated data (available directly in the app under Profile → Remove Account)
• Export your data upon request

7. Children’s Privacy

Finolid is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
